一口に「よいお店」と言っても、要因は様々。どんなシチュエーションで、誰と何の為に行くのかによって、当然「よい」為の条件が異なってくる。昨今の飲食バブルとも言える膨大な数のお店とそれらに関する情報の中で、本当に「よいお店」に出会うのは逆に難しい。

「リーズナブルにおいしいものを食べて、しっかり飲む。居心地のよい空間とサービスは大前提。」多くの人が「よいお店」と思う条件を幅広くクリアーしようというのが、広尾の「CARDENAS Chinois」が提案する新しいスタイル、「プリフィクスのしっかりとした３プレートにデザート、コーヒー付き、そしてフリーワインで一律￥4,300（税込）」である。繰り返しになるが、新しいスタイルであって、時期限定のフェアやイベントではない。

レストランにおけるフリーワイン（＝ワイン飲み放題）というスタイルは、おそらく初めての試み。もちろん、供されるワインはいわゆる「飲み放題用」ではない。さらに「ビールやスパークリングでのスタートもOK。あまりお酒が強くない方にはソフトドリンクも。」と、このレストラン本来の「ゲスト１人１人への柔軟な対応」は維持されている。

料理は、カリフォルニア生まれのフレンチチャイニーズ。プリフィクス形式にありがちな「食べたいなと思うメニューは全て＋○○○円表示」ということは一切無し。冷・温のアペタイザー、肉or魚のメインと量・質ともに十分。

もっと高額なレストランと比較した場合、正直、小さなほこりは出るかもしれない。だが、訪れた多くのゲストが、率直に「今日は、よいお店に来た。」と感じると共に、このレストランが提案する業界の新機軸を「また、楽しみたい。」と思うことだろう。

How to define a good restaurant varies depending on situations. You select a restaurant based on whom you go with or what your purpose is. No matter what criteria you have, it is not easy to find an ideal restaurant in Tokyo, as a number of restaurants and information about them are simply overwhelming.

Diners usually say they would like to have good food which is reasonably priced, and a drink menu to go with it all in a pleasant atmosphere complimented by service. Cardenas Chinois' new concept does a good job of accommodating these diners. It offers a set course menu featuring 3 plates for a real meal followed by a dessert & a coffee, all for a mere 4,300 yen. Amazingly, this price also includes all you can drink wine. This is their new concept and not a limited period only promotional offer.

Cardenas Chinois is probably the first restaurant to offer all you can drink wine on an everyday basis. And, the restaurant does not use cheap jug wines for this concept.

As you know Cardenas Chinois offers California style French Chinese cuisine. Included in its 3,900 set course menu are a cold and a warm appetizer, and a meat or fish dish. Unlike other restaurants, they do not have additional charges for certain dish selections in the menu.

While customers are not encouraged to compare the quality of food with those expensive restaurants, they should be feeling content having dinner at this good restaurant, and enjoy letting their friends know about it.
