通りに面した１Fは、軽い食事とワイン、ワインとシガーなど、カジュアルなレストランとしてもバーとしても利用可能。そして店内の階段を降りたB１Fは、中央に店名の由来ともなっている釜を設置した暖かみあるメインダイニング。決して華美な内装ではないが、半横並びに座って食事が出来る個室などさりげない遊び心が感じられる。

若きオーナーシェフ釜津田が供するのは、クラシックフレンチ。仕込みに時間をかけて、ソースにこだわったしっかりとした料理を楽しむことが出来る。特に釜を使って焼き上げる品々はお薦め。一方で「裏メニューの手打ちのパスタも自信あり。」と語るとおり、良い意味で枠に囚われないシェフのチャレンジは、期待大である。またワインギャラリーと名乗るとおり、ワインリストにはあのミッシェル・ロラン家との深いコネクションに基くコレクションをはじめ、フランス・ボルドーをはじめとする各国から選ばれた銘柄が並ぶ。グラスワインの種類も豊富である。

「大切なパートナーと、しっかりと食事を楽しむ」、「仲間数人で、ワインとシガーで寛ぐ」、「深夜に１人で軽い食事＆グラスワインを１杯」・・・・リラックスしたい夜の様々な時間の過ごし方に相応しいこのレストランが、今後、このエリアの持つ独特な「夜の空気」を継承しうる一軒として成長していくよう応援したい。

Chez Marmite is a French restaurant and wine gallery located right in the middle of this area at the base of Torii Zaka.

The basement floor down below is the main dining space with a large pot which, in fact, is called marmite in French, and thus giving the restaurant its name. Young owner-chef, Mr. Kamatsuda specializes in French classics. You will savor his solid dishes accompanied with sauces he painstakingly makes over long hours. On the other hand, he enjoys preparing simple pasta dishes upon request from his regulars. Also, as it claims to be wine gallery, the restaurant boasts an extensive wine list featuring wines directly sourced from Michel Rolland. They also have a wide selection of wines available by the glass.

This could be an ideal place for all different occasions. You can go there with your important partner to enjoy dining. You can relax with your friends drinking wines and smoking a cigar. You can even go there by yourself late at night for a light meal and a glass of wine. This restaurant has very good potential to become an important part of nightlife in this area.
